Super Beets Review – How it affected me

This is my Super Beets Review and how it affected me. There are several brands of Super Beets on the market.  You can check that by just looking at how many different brands are found at Amazon. The brand that most folks will think of is the one that is most advertised on TV Human Super Beets. If you are looking to buy Human Super Beets at a better price and not having to get on auto ship you can easily get them on Amazon.

I started taking Rx Select Super Beets and I can tell you I do feel like I have  more energy when I work ouSuper Beets review - how it affectede met. I have a back problem ( I have rod and screws in my back) so when I clean my house, I usually take frequent breaks. However, since I have been taking these super beets, I do not have to take breaks! I clean like I used to! I am excited about that. I also think that it is helping my digestion. I find that my food is digesting really easy. My stomach seems to be flatter without the usual bloat after meals. That is really exciting.

I remember a very long time ago, my mother in law was told by her doctor to drink beet juice for her “blood”. She use to drink the juice out of a can of beets. It also helped her stomach feel good she said.

Beets, or at least the leaves of the beet, have been used since before recorded history. Charred beet roots were found among Neolithic remains at an excavation site in the Netherlands. The Sea beet, the ancestor of the modern cultivated beet, was probably domesticated somewhere along the Mediterranean. Both the roots and leaves have been used in folk medicine to treat a wide variety of ailments since the time of the Romans, who used them for fever and constipation. Hippocrates used the leaves as a binding for wounds. In the Talmud, the rabbis recommended “eating beet root, drinking mead, and bathing in the Euphrates” as part of a prescription for a long and healthy life. During the middle ages, Platina in his De Honesta (1460) noted that beet root was good for bad breath, especially “garlic breath”.

What is Nitric Oxide?

Nitric Oxide is a gas.  In 1876 A Physician (Thomas Lauder Brunton) first recognized the effects of Nitric Oxide. He experimented on a patient with angina. After placing nitrite drops on a cloth for the patient to inhale, he witnessed within minutes the patient improved and his pain subsided.

In the hundred years following Brunton’s discovery, scientists further explored the effects of Nitric Oxide on the Cardiovascular system. Several experiments were preformed in the 1900’s. Henry Dale, an English pharmacologist found that aSuper Beets Review - how it affected memyl nitrite (a biological source of Nitric Oxide) operates peripherally to diate blood vessels without acting through the nervous system.

However, It wasn’t until the late 20th century until Nitric Oxide was understood as the messenger molecule. In the mid-1970’s physician Ferid Murad demonstrated that nitrite-containing compounds stimulated an enzyme in smooth muscle that increased cGmp which in turn caused smooth muscle relaxation.

By 1989 both the biosynthesis and mechanism of action of Nitric Oxide were known. It became clear that Nitric Oxide is a signaling molecule produced enzymatically from L-arginine and then immediately activates cytosolic guanylate cyclase by heme-dependent mechanisms to elevate cyclic GMP. In arteries and veins, cyclic GMP is the second messenger expressing the vasorelaxant effect of Nitric Oxide.

In 1998 the Nobel prize was given for discovering that Nitric Oxide as a gaseous messenger molecule capable of acting on smooth muscle and other types of cells. This was an entirely new principle for Nitric Oxide.

Our bodies produce Nitric Oxide in 2 different ways. In our blood vessel walls and in our tissues. Normal functioning of our blood vessels require the presence of nitrite and nitric oxide and the ability to respond to these signaling molecules. Most is made in our vascular endothelium (walls).  Enzymes synthesize nitric oxide from L-arginine and molecular oxygen to regulate vasodialation, blood pressure regulation, decreasing inflammation, and decreasing sticky platelets in our blood.

Beets have a lot

The normal production of nitric oxide in our bodies may prevent cardivascular disease, including hypertention, atherosclerosis and stroke.

We can promote nitric oxide production in our bodies by exercise and our diet.  Pomegranate juice has been shown to protect nitric oxide from oxidation while enhancing its biological activity. Eating a healthy diet of fruits and vegetables help to promote nitric oxide production in our bodies.

As seen on TV “HumanN” SuperBeets

The customer reviews on their website are almost all 5 star. I did see some lower stars regarding the taste of the Black Cherry flavor. One person said it just doesn’t work.

Whats the difference between Human SuperBeets and other Super Beet powders?

They claim that Human SuperBeets are carefully selected and tested for the specific levels of dietary nitrate and other key nutrients. Then they have a unique process with which to preserve the nitrate integrity of the beets. They convert them into a dried crystal form. This crystal form is suppose to guarantee you get “functional Benefits”of beets. One teaspoon is equal to three whole beets.

The claim is that their team of scientists understand the mechanisms that effectively metabolize nitrate and nitrite

You must decide for yourself whether these Super Beets (Human) is any better than any other you can find on the market.

Super Beets review
Rx Super Beets are discontinued. I have been taking this brand.

I have been taking (RxSelect Super Beets) and it is no longer on the market as it has been discontinued. However, it is comparable to Human SuperBeets when I compare the ingredient label.

Human n also makes which is made for athletes. When I compared the ingredients to Rx Select they were actually closer than the regular Human n SuperBeets. The potassium in Rx select is 500mg and in Beetelite is 320mg and in regular Human SuperBeets is only 160mg.

You can get Beetelite on Amazon 2 for $58.95.  It is 20 servings. .

Other brands of Beet Root Powder

There are many other brands of Beet Powder you can buy. How do they stack up against Human SuperBeets? I am looking at the top selling brands on Amazon with 4-5 star reviews.

These are all organic with 4 stars or more. There are many. Take a look here. I wouldn’t recommend those imported from China. There is one brand that is tested for heavy metals that is safe. It is Nature Restore Organic Beet Root Powder.

Here are my top three picks:

1) Herbal Island Beet Root Powder. Made in USA. Organic with free shipping.  You get a 2.2lb bag of Beet Root Powder for $34.95.

3) Organic Whole Beet Juice Powder by Activz, 1 lb 1.1 oz. Made in USA. Price: $39.20

Super Beets Review - how it affected me - organic beet juice powder by Activz

There are actually a lot of brands to choose from that have 4 to 5 stars. I looked for the ones that were organic and made in USA. It was really amazing all the rave reviews there were on Beet Root Powder as well as Beet Root Juice Powder. The action is the same. Most everyone loved the lowered blood pressure (some said they were able to get off of their Blood Pressure Medications), the energy and the overall well being.

Warnings

Beets are mostly safe for anyone to take. However, if you already have low blood pressure, I would be cautious. I have low blood pressure at times and I have not had a problem but it is prudent to be aware of the blood pressure lowering effect. If you suffer from kidney disease or stones, check with your doctor before taking any beet root powder.

The Bottom Line

I am really enjoying the brand I purchased. I feel energized when I am working out and have steady energy throughout the day. When I run out, I am purchasing the Herbal Island Organic Beet Root Powder. It can be advertised and marketed and studied but beets have the most Nitric Oxide than all other vegetables.

It’s all about the beets. I will be growing some in my garden also. If you are interested in growing beets you can get some Non GMO seeds. Click Here

  1. Maybe I’ve been under a rock my whole life, but I didn’t realise you could even get a beet powder! What’s the deal, do you mix it with water or something and drink it? Is there some other way you can get this into you? I wonder how it compares to just eating beets, do you get the same benefits?

    1. Hi Shirley,

Thanks so much for your comment. Yes you can get beet powder and yes you mix it in water or put it in your smoothie or juice. Shake it or blend it well. If you like the taste of beets, you will enjoy it. Some brands put in a no calorie sweetener but to me that makes it taste bad.

I do like beets though. Yes if you ate beets everyday you would the beneficial nitrates. However, I doubt if anyone can stick to eating beets everyday. It is so much easier to just mix the powder.

If you do want to eat more beets, I would recommend organic of course. You could actually grow your own.

  2. The brand sound pretty effective and seem safe to use. Since you have used it and found some good results, I’m thinking of getting this product as well. How long will it take for me to see some results after using the product and are the results going to go away once I stop using it?

    1. Hi Shrey,

Thanks for your comment. I have reviewed the beet root powder brands and have recommended the top three I think are the best.

I have skipped a day when I was in a hurry and did feel the difference at the gym. I think it would be a good idea if you were regular in taking it. It really does make a difference not only in my energy, but also in just the way I feel in my stomach. It’s a nice smooth great feeling.

If you do try it, please let me know what you thinkk.

  3. Hello, thanks for an interesting and informative article about beet root powder. I knew that beets are healthy, especially when somebody juices them or eats fermented beets.
It is always to hear about new inventions and discoveries, especially from doctors and scientists.
Everybody is different and unique as the individual.
It is wonderful that you found your source of energy and vitality.
I need to check this product because it is interesting and tempting to buy.
    All the best, Nemira.

    1. Hi Nemira,

Thanks for your comment. Yes beets are a superfood. I think everyone should incorporate beets into their diet. I don’t think I could eat them everyday though.

I can however, mix a little beet root powder into water or a smoothie everyday. It’s really easy to just make it a part of my daily routine.

If you do check it out please let me know your experience with it. Thanks so much.

  4. Hi there. Interesting article on the beet products. I hadn’t heard of all this until a couple months ago. But I did try the Human N brand. But to my disappointment, I never felt any difference when using the product. My wife thought at first that she may have felt something, but after a couple more times, she couldn’t really be sure. The power of suggestion may have something to do with it. I wish I could say that the beets helped me, but I can’t. But that doesn’t mean it won’t help other people. We all may react a little differently. I appreciate your review though.

    1. Hi Jim,

There is a lot of nutrition in superfoods like beets. I did not try the Human N brand of Super Beets. I tried Rx Select Brand. However, this brand is discontinued and so I will go on to buy another brand that is organic and non GMO.

I did in fact feel a difference and want to continue taking beet root powder. I love the effect and I have been working out long enough to know that what I feel is a boost in energy when I am working out. I also do not get as tired in the afternoon either.

I agree that different people react differently and I appreciate your comment.

  5. just started taking super beets powder. I’m pleased with the refreshing taste since I loath the taste of beets in their natural form. I considered it because of my low energy in the middle of the afternoon and hoping it will help with my high blood pressure as well, would like to stop taking medication to control that…we shall see. The only thing I can comment on at this time is that they really do taste great, going to replace my morning coffee with my beet juice drink. Also as far as cost goes, since I am committed to this for the next two months, the cost is less for the super beets if you take advantage of the buy 2 get one free deal and that included free shipping which as we know can be considerable. so it actually worked out to be about $29.00 per container.

    1. Hi Patricia,
Thanks for your comment. I love the actual beets and I also am pleased with the taste of the Beet juice powder. I know it does affect my energy level and I feel great with I am working out after taking it. I love my coffee though and take it in addition to my morning coffee.

I think if you keep taking it it may help you with your blood pressure but make sure you check with your doctor before stopping any medication. I am glad you are getting that deal on the Super Beets that is great. However, if you find that you want to stay on beet root powder, make sure you check out BulkSupplements Pure Beet Rood Powder it has a 4.5 star rating and it is more reasonably priced. Last I checked it was $18.75 for 2.2lbs. You can check the price here.

Please let me know how you are doing!
