Overall Review Rating

review rating Bowflex Extreme 2E

Overall this Bowflex has a 98% approval rate out of over 2000 reviews on the Manufacturers site.

It has a 4.6 star review on Amazon.

Most of the reviews were very favorable. The reviewers ranged in age from twenties to over 70.

The most liked review was from a disabled Veteran who fell in love with the Bowflex Extreme 2E (who gave it 5 stars):

Permanently Disabled Wounded Warrior

“What an amazing machine! I am a permanently disabled combat veteran with multiple injuries throughout my entire body. My body weight was getting out of control and my muscle build was deteriorating at an alarming rate. Between all the medications and the constant pain, I was spiraling down the rabbit hole. I got myself together and made a pact with my wife to not “give up” on our bodies just yet. I’m glad to say it’s working! My weight is going down and my muscle structure is coming back to the form it was before I was injured! My wife is looking incredible and is now wearing clothes she hasn’t worn in 7 years! My son is now joining in for a piece of the action as he is aspiring to be a soldier later this year. Thank you bowflex, they told me I was permanently disabled, you helped me become Enabled!”

The Bottom Line

If you are wanting a home gym, you probably need it to be of high quality and sturdy and really a fitness center in your home that is compact but yet easily moved if need be.

You also want it to give fast reliable results in the comfort of your own home. The same results that you would get in a gym.

I love the Bowflex. I had one several years back and wish I had kept it. It was one of the first models. I would recommend a Bowflex to anyone. I used mine everyday and it really does give you fast excellent results. It is very easy to get in shape and stay in shape with a Bowflex.

After my back accident, I used my Bowflex to complete my rehabilitation. It helped me bounce back really quick.

  1. What a great exercise machine to have at home. This saves us money and time that most of us would be spending if we were to go to the local gym.

You mentioned that it is very easy to set up. This is very convenient for users who might need to move it around the house. It’s also good to know that it is easy on the joints, as this prevents possible future injuries.

    Thanks and great review!

    1. Hi Farhan,

Thanks for your comment. I am glad you enjoyed the review of the Bowflex Xtreme 2 SE Home Gym. You are right it is so easy to work out from the comfort of your home.

It really easy on the joints too. I can attest to that fact. Resistance exercise of this type is so important to keep us strong as we age.

  2. hey would love to have a home gym in the house one day, would make it so much easier than going to the gym but I just don’t have the room at our house.

It’s important to keep your muscles strong as a woman not be a body builder but just to keep your muscles toned and strong..

    Great review

    1. Hi Rose,

Thank you for your comment. Yes a home gym is so convenient! This Bowflex Home Gym does not take up a lot of room but you still need enough space for it, that is true. I hope one day you will try a Bowflex, they are awesome and so easy to use.

You are so right, you don’t have to be a body builder to have a strong body with strong toned muscles, especially as we get older it is so important.

  3. Very thorough review – appreciate all of the information! I have been using Bowflex products for a few years now and have to agree with you on how convienent their products are – one of the number 1 reasons I use their stuff.

  4. Hi Cynthia

Sorry to hear about your accident but glad you managed to use the gym to get better. Just wondering, do you know how this gym compares to other Bowflex models like the Revolution? Do you think it is worth the money?

    Thanks

    Jen

    1. Hi Jen,
Thanks for your comment. I loved my Bowflex and if I would not have had it I don’t know how long it would have taken me to get back to my life! I think all bowflex models are great. It is really how much money you want to spend. The Bowflex Revolution is great too but I think the Bowflex Extreme 2 SE is awesome and would fit most folks just fine.
However, if you are wanting to go further the Bowflex Revolution is the machine to buy. It works both positive and negative resistance (both ways) which makes it feel harder than free weights. It is endorsed by Bret farve.
The Bowflex Revolution has over 100 exercises with 400 variations and comes with a CD personal trainer and a DVD to show you the moves. It is a serious machine for those wanting more.

  5. people always say that these machines are too expensive, and I always argue with them. If you take your gym subscription wich is avg between 40 to 50 dollars per month ($600 per year) plus your petrol and time it takes to get there and back, and for me, time is a biggie because I have 2 kids that take up allot of time, then the prices for these machines really makes it worthwhile to invest in and best of all is you can gym in the comfort of your own home. I really love this Bowflex Extreme 2, great review.

    1. Hi Mornay,

Thanks for your comment. I totally agree with you. If you pay to go to the gym and use their equipment, it ends up costing more in the end. It does pay to invest in a Bowflex Home Gym.

The Bowflex is a total gym you can use in your own home. Yes, saving time and money. You can do it when you get a chance throughout the day.

I don’t know what I would have done without my Bowflex after my accident and back operation. I was able to continue rehab at home. The Bowflex home gym has been a lifesaver for me.
