Best Kitchen Blenders For 2018 – Which blender should you buy.

The Best For Blenders 2018

How to pick a blender that is best for you

The main question to ask yourself is what do you want it for? How much will you be using the blender? If you plan on using the blender to make milkshakes and mix drinks, then an immersion blender is all you need. There are several inexpensivebest kitchen blender options to choose from.

However, if your aim is to make smoothies then you will want a countertop model. I really like to suggest for a countertop model that you think about the height if saving counter space is a concern. Choose one that is not over 17″ high if that is the case.

For a counter top blender, there are cheap models, medium price, and high priced models. There are personal blenders and blenders with large containers. Then there are the Mac Daddy Fancy Pants blenders like the Vitamix and Blendtec.

Losing weight is easy if you have one of these blenders. You can make a really healthy protein shake or green drink like I do every day and keep slim and trim. It really is the best all-around tool to help with weight loss.

Before choosing your blender, ask yourself a few questions:

  1. What is my budget?
  2. How much space do I have?
  3. Will I be blending for personal or more than one person?
  4. What will I be blending?

Immersion blenders

This article has 10 Comments

  1. This really gives a lot of details about the current blenders that are out there. I have a ninja that I adore. For smoothies, it is my go-to. I am looking at replacing my immersion blender though. After many years of hard work, it has reached its end. I use it all the time when cooking and now that harvest season is approaching for canning prep of sauces. I find it easier than a countertop type for hot prep food. Well, and safer for my clumsy self! The Bamix looks great. I am going to look at it further and maybe give it a try. Thank you for the recommendations!!

    1. Hi Christina,
Thanks for your comment! I know that the ninja is a good blender. I use a Magic Bullet for my smoothies. It is super easy for me to clean. I also love an immersion blender too and you have picked a great one in the Bamix. Let me know how you like it. Happy Blending!

  2. Hello
I just happen to be shopping for a new blender to replace my old one, but I become overwhelmed with choices of blenders on the market today. I really appreciated you sharing so many blenders which might be perfect for me, what is your opinion for a blender purchase for a single guy for making protein shakes, I am looking for a blender which will prepare enough for me all day. i usually have two to three shakes per day, I hope you can narrow my options down.

    Jeff

    1. Hi Jeff,
Thanks so much for your comment! I am so glad you stopped by. A blender is so convenient for protein shakes plus more. If you are looking for a blender that will make a large batch of protein shakes for you to enjoy throughout the day then I would go with one with a larger container. I like the Hamilton Beach or if you want even a larger container, the Ninja Professional is a great choice. According to your budget, either one of these could make a large batch of protein shakes at one time. Let me know which one you pick and how you like it!

  3. Hi Cynthia,
I’m glad that I ran into this post. Recently my mom was advised by her doctor to eat more fruit and less fruit juice because of the high sugar content of most juices. I too am eating more fruit and not taking much fruit juice. I t occurs to me, however, that with something like the vitamin blender, she can have fruit and vegetable as a quick drink without the worry of loaded sugar. I’ll point her to this article. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Hi Thabo,
Thanks so much for your comment. Yes, it is so much more beneficial to get the whole fruit rather than just the fruit juice. You get all the nutrition plus fiber! It is easy to mix fruits and vegetables too. Yes, a Vitamin blender like the Nutri Ninja is a great option for getting all the vegetables into your diet. You can mix fruit and vegetables too. Try mixing 1 orange, a bunch of spinach and kale mixed, and a banana. It is delicious!

  4. Thanks Cynthia this is a great review for the different blenders.

I actually wanted to read this article to find out how my blenders stack up to other blenders and was pleasantly surprised, I own both the kitchen aide immersion blender and the Ninja Intelli-Sense Kitchen system and absolutely love both of them.

My kitchen aide is very versatile as I blend drinks (especially ones with heave whipping cream) and even use it directly in a sauce pan while it is cooking as it is stainless steel and works wonderful in that application. I had a cheaper version cannot remember what the brand was at this time but ended up melting it because it was plastic.

The Ninja Kitchen system was a great investment although a bit pricey it does a great job and I have been very pleased with it. I love being able to go back and forth between using the smoothie attachment or for bigger jobs the regular blender attachment depending on what I am creating at the time. Not sure if it still comes with it but mine came with a lid to attach to the smoothie maker so I can drink it out of the same blender attachment that I created it in, which is very convenient.

I have been very happy with the Ninja products and also their customer service, as I also own one of their coffee pots. I must have received a defective coffee pot as it went out 2 months after I had it so I contacted the company and they shipped out a brand new one right away. I don’t think anyone could go wrong with the Ninja or Kitchen aide brands as they are both wonderful products.

    1. Hi Dena,
Thanks so much for your comment! The Ninja blenders are excellent and I am so pleased you are enjoying it. They do have very good customer service and thanks for pointing that out. The Ninja Kitchen does come with a personal container that has a lid that goes with it. Thanks so much for letting everyone know how you like the Ninja Kitchen.
As far as the Kitchen Aid Immersion blender, they are also very good and it was a runnerup in my Top Pick for Immersion blenders. Kitchen Aid has been around for a very long time and their products are very good. Happy Blending!

  5. Very helpful and informative article Cynthia. You have explained each of the blenders thoroughly so everyone can understand what they do and how they perform. I have a Magic Bullet and love it. It makes great smoothies and chops nuts and ice like a pro! I have a larger one that spends most of its time in the cabinet because it takes up too much room on the counter. With the Magic Bullet it is small so I keep it on the cabinet and it reminds me to drink my smoothies! You have a lot of great things on your site!

    1. Hi Brenda,
Thanks so much for your comment. I too have a Magic Bullet. I use it almost every day for my protein smoothies and green drinks. I don’t know what I would do without it! My larger blender also stays in the cabinet! Thank you for visiting and I am pleased you like my site. My goal is to write helpful information for weight loss and staying fit.
